The final climb up from Täsch feels like coming home. An avid skier and mountain enthusiast you’ve skied other resorts, but your heart belongs to Zermatt. Disembark at the train station but this time let the staff whisk you to the new prestigious 7 Heavens development. Vying for attention as the most iconic peak in town, you can almost see the battle unfolding between the Matterhorn and Chalet Mckinley.

Just like the efforts of Harry Karstens, Hudson Stuck, Walter Harper and Robert Tatum on 7^th June 1913, as the party leader you have the privilege of being the first to summit Chalet Mckinley. Those hardy four may have chosen to take the South Summit but we prefer to use the elevator to reach the peak of the fourth floor. As exclaimed by Tatum, "The view from the top of Mount McKinley is like looking out the windows of Heaven!" From your impressive floor to vaulted ceiling windows in the tremendous open-plan living room, we reckon your private viewing of the Matterhorn might just draw such comparisons.

Eyebrows will continue to rise and jaws will continue to drop upon further exploration of Chalet Mckinley’s über-luxurious facilities. Sleeping ten of your nearest and dearest intrepid Alpine pioneers, your home for the week has five breath taking ensuite bedrooms. With both master bedrooms furnished with sumptuous sofas in decadent velvet hues, you might reconsider using them purely as a place to discard old socks.

For the future explorers in your party, the playroom will inspire their minds with its revolving television and be their sanctuary for the week. Just like them, we understand quite how tough we have made the notion of going skiing. Just as Walter Harper was an Alaskan native, take it from your friends in high places and natives of Zermatt, that we would only recommend the most extravagant and luxurious of private residences to you. 

Chalet Mckinley is somewhere you’ll never want to leave, just like the impending doom felt by the first explorers of Alaska’s highest peak when faced with leaving their tents. Whilst hours were spent hibernating from the forces of Alaskan nature, diarizing their previous days, maybe don’t mention to Karstens, Stuck, Harper and Tatum how you will be spending your days hunkered down away from the depths of winter.

Chalet Mckinley’s sublime private spa and wellness area is the ultimate place to while away a white out day or to rejuvenate those intrepid limbs. However, a polar bear plunge this most definitely is not. With an indoor hot tub, hammam, sauna, plunge pool and chill out area, Chalet Mckinley’s second floor is an oasis of rejuvenation and serenity.

With the limbs supple and tomorrow promising the first outstanding bluebird day of the week, you are prepped and ready to conquer the Matterhorn Ski Paradise. Located in the heart of Zermatt, Chalet Mckinley provides an enviable short stroll to its neighbor, the Sunnegga lift, enabling you to be on the ski slopes in just three minutes. You often wonder what you did before being introduced to your friends in high places.

With a goggle tan any pioneer would be proud of and lungs full of the freshest of air, you are rather excited about the prospect of returning to your slice of 7 Heavens. Entering into the towering entrance hallway, Tom, the bartender, knows exactly which is your favourite rejuvenating tipple. With boots deposited in the ski room, ssh don’t tell that to those four of 1913 fame, Tom even has today’s newspaper laid out for you in front of the roaring fire. Service at its finest.

Above you, on the upper floor, you will find the shared state of the art gym. Don’t worry, your chalet manager saw the initial look of horror upon arrival and has ensured that the massage room on Chalet Mckinley’s second floor is reserved for you. You’re on holiday and these magical hours of après are yours to spend just as you wish. After all, you want to be rejuvenated for tonight’s soirée.

Your SkiBoutique PA has already worked with your chef to ensure that the perfect menu is designed for your favourite week, along with tonight’s seven course evening meal. Fortunately with Chalet Mckinley’s professional kitchen on the ground floor, supper is a seamless affair with a sense of heightened excitement when dinner wondrously appears for all to marvel at and enjoy.
