We discovered Chalet Tene on a week long chalet hunt around all our French resorts. Having looked at dozens and dozens of properties you could excuse us from feeling a little jaded. Our spirits and senses were lifted the moment we entered through the front door of this simply beautiful ski haven. It was love at first sight. Chalet Le Tene achieves the very difficult feat of finding a perfect balance between beautiful modern design aesthetic, whilst reataining a real warm and cosy ski chalet appeal.
The upstairs living area is the money shot and is without doubt the most spectacular space in the chalet, although there are many. The glass-walls provide an overall sense of space and light, whilst serving up panoramic piste views. The main living space has been designed for comfort after an exhilarating day on the slopes. The stylish and chic furniture is plush and has been expertly hand picked to promote relaxing luxury. The living space also boasts its own very charming bar complete with a beer tap. The chalet also features a substantial and eclectic wine cellar and a beautiful log fire for cosy nights in sampling the said wine. Kicking back in the uber cool lounge and watching the world ski past is one of the most pleasurable pastimes at Chalet La Tene.
Cascading past the chalet, the imposing black run, La Face, provides the dramatic backdrop to the stunning dining Room. The beautiful dining table is used for breakfast and dinner and provides a memorable ambience to every dining experience. Wrapped around the living area is an impressive upstairs deck, perfect for soaking up the sunshine and enjoying lunch during the spring. The deck also plays host to the wonderful 8-person hot tub. The whole area has its own state-of-the-art sound system.
The chalet is only in its second year and is already proving very popular indeed. Many weeks for next season have already been booked but if you are interested in any of the remaining weeks we think they offer amazing value for money for what is in our opinion one of the finest chalets in the Alps.
