Le Praz at 1300m, is the old village of the Courchevel valley, existing long before the skiing made the area world famous. As such, it is a village of immense charm with narrow cobbled streets and alleyways, old farm buildings and converted barns and stunning views of the valley. The resort saw development and the building of additional amenities for Albertville Olympic Games in 1992, when a lake and ski jump were added. More recently a new lift office and high speed lift was added, whisking skiers up to 1850 in minutes.

In the hamlet of Bois du Praz, four new beautiful chalets with a fantastic range of facilities have been built and are available for this winter (2023/24). This small development is in a fantastic location, just a few steps from the village of Le Praz with its shops, bars and restaurants and from the cable car and slopes. All four of the chalets are built in stone with wood cladding and offer modern, comfortable and chic accommodation. The interior design uses soft colours and materials contribute to the relaxing atmosphere.

Chalet Bois des Barmes is spread over five floors – the lift will save those tired legs after a hard day’s skiing ! There are five en-suite rooms, including one adapted for people with reduced mobility so there is plenty of space for up to ten guests. The lovely, bright open-plan living space is at the top of the chalet so benefits from great views. The living space is divided into a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area and has a lovely central fireplace. The bay windows open onto a terrace and a balcony with a splendid view of the valley. On a lower floor you’ll also find the lovely cinema room - great for keeping lively children occupied !

After an exhausting day on the slopes, you can luxuriate in the wellness area with its lovely pool, sauna and relaxation area. For a comfortable stay, a breakfast will be served and the chalet will be cleaned by a housekeeper. And perfect for families there is a laundry room – always a useful addition !
